Weekly Focus: More Than Love
"We love each other."
It's one of the most beautiful things two people can say about their relationship. It's an important place to begin, but marriage asks for more.
Marriage means learning how to communicate when you're frustrated, make decisions together, navigate differences, handle money, set boundaries with family, repair after you've hurt each other, make room for each other's dreams, and keep choosing each other through all the ordinary and difficult moments life brings.
Love gives you a reason to build a life together, but the skills, habits, conversations, and choices you make along the way are what help that life thrive.
You don't have to have everything figured out before you say "I do", but knowing that love isn't the whole foundation is an important first step toward building a strong one.
PAUSE & CONSIDER
